That’s why I didn’t put this one on the podium :). The sub-menus have the same idea, but a bit simpler compared to the main one. It has a nice design integrated that might be inspired by the Tron movie. Wow! Great work on the main menu for this one. The game selection has a different design, with the game cover on the left and the vending machine sub-menu on the right with the names for each installed game. The design comes with sound effects, so when you choose a console you’ll hear the sound of a can opening :). It was inspired by a vending machine and each console looks like a soda brand :). The Soda theme is very different than the first two themes introduced. No doubt your friends will be very interested when they will see it near your TV :). Really well done, with a different style for each console obviously.įor a total “retro-look”, you can hide your Raspberry Pi in a nice case, looking like an original console ( the NES for example). When you make a selection, the comic will open up with the comic on the right and a summary on the left, with all your games.

Have fun setting up HyperSpin! :D (Jokes it's a pain in the ass it's hell but don't worry I have faith!)ĮDIT: 480p snaps actually don't look that bad, but yes the 240's really look like absolute shit. For each console, you’ll see the comic cover (like in the picture). I've learn't quite a bit about HyperSpin in the past couple of days (Shout out to GlassArrow and GameRoomSolutions, THANK YOU!)Īlso check out GameRoomSolutions guide to HyperSpin, it's like 2 weeks old and it tells you everything. You can alternatively use Fraps to record, but make sure your converting all your videos to MP4, and placing them in your Hypersin/Media/MAME/Video folder. With these, the best way to record them is using MAME's built in recording capabilities which are outlined here:

Copy this into Hyperspin/Media/MAME/Images/Wheel and it will show up. png that is titled as the rom your downloading the theme for, e.g.

You can also download like 10 or 20 themes for MAME a day from the Hyperspin website, and inside the theme zip you will see a. Alternatively, if you want, you can use marquee art too, but tbh, wheel art looks MUCH BETTER! This will come up with mostly screenshots for the game, but in 80% of the searches, you will find a transparent. What I suggest you do in terms of wheel art, Is type into Google Images your rom name, e.g. r/pinball - Pinball specific discussion. r/arcade - Original CoinOP Arcade specific discussion. r/RetroGamingNetwork - a multireddit for retro gaming! r/HyperSpin - HyperSpin specific discussion. Over time, MAME (originally stood for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) absorbed the sister-project MESS (Multi Emulator Super System), so MAME now documents a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles and calculators, in addition to the arcade video games that were its initial focus.

The fact that the software is usable serves primarily to validate the accuracy of the documentation (how else can you prove that you have recreated the hardware faithfully?).
#Hyperspin themes pack .zip code#
The source code to MAME serves as this documentation. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and how it functions. As electronic technology continues to rush forward, MAME prevents this important "vintage" software from being lost and forgotten. MAME’s purpose is to preserve decades of software history. MAME is a multi-purpose emulation framework. Questions? Please check out OUR MAME/BYOAC Wiki!
